Tiffany’s Erica Kerner and JWT’s Tay Guan Hin to Head 2018 APAC Effie Awards Juries

Singapore (19 December 2018) – The 2018 APAC Effie Awards has appointed Erica Kerner and Tay Guan Hin as the next two Heads of Jury.

Erica Kerner is Vice President of marketing and communications for Tiffany & Co. Asia Pacific. In her role, she is responsible for all aspects of Tiffany’s marketing and communications planning, strategy and implementation across all retail channels and Asia Pacific countries.

She brings to her role more than 20 years of marketing experience in Asia Pacific, and especially Greater China. She is also a founding steering board member of The Marketing Society Asia and Chairman of The Marketing Society South East Asia.

Commenting on her appointment, Erica said, “I am really looking forward to this year’s Effies and reviewing the strong Marketing campaigns that launched throughout the region. APAC is incredibly dynamic and diverse with multicultural consumers and evolving channels. It has to be one of the most challenging and exciting places in the world to be a Marketer today, and I am thrilled to be a Head of Jury to recognize effective Marketing campaigns”.

Tay Guan Hin is the Global Executive Creative Director for J. Walter Thompson. He previously managed the Unilever Lux account for 8 years and Abbott Nutrition. He currently leads the global accounts for both Shell Advance, and Rimula/Rotella out of London, and regional clients such as Johnson and Johnson.

In 2008-2009, Guan Hin played a critical role in the Asia Pacific Creative Council to achieve Network for the Year in both Adfest and Spikes Asia. Guan became the first Singaporean to serve as a Cannes Outdoor Jury President and the first Asian to serve as a D&AD Jury Foreman. An engaging speaker and judge, Guan has frequently been invited to award competitions around the world.

“Exceptional creativity not only delivers on original ideas but needs to be genuinely effective. APAC Effies are the ultimate accolade for measurable impact of exceptional creativity. I'm humbled to accept as Jury head in identifying, selecting and championing the best work the region has to offer,” Guan Hin said.
